After riding threw parts of Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Indiana in August through October 2020, I stopped in my hometown Richmond, Indiana to wait for the Covid situation to improve and the weather to warm up.
I got my second Moderna shot March 24 and the weather was warming so I returned to the road on April 17 planning a loop through Indiana.
Bicycling keeps you closer to the environment helping you feel and relate better to the places you visit. Sometimes maybe too much. On April 20 the temperature dipped below freezing and several inches of snow covered the ground. After two days camping at Ouabache State Park I have found comfort in a Comfort Inn a half-hour ride from the state park.
The next day I pedaled a couple hours under a bright sun on snow-lined roads. It was beautiful if a tad on the cold side.
Loving the evocative photos, Mick - more please!
